Now that were are at the mid-mark of the month, just wanted to check-in and see how you are doing on those goal(s) you set several weeks ago. Doing a quick evaluation is a key to success as it not only allows you to see what is not working well; this gives opportunity to amend the blips.
The other benefit of a mid-evaluation is to celebrate the wins you’ve had so far. We need to hold onto the successes we’ve had so that our brains can release some key chemicals that bring us happiness and leads to feeling accomplished and more motivated to keep going and achieving. The feeling of success is ‘sweet,’ as it has been said.
Here are 3 quick questions to help in your self-assessment:
- What progress have I seen so far, no matter how big or how small?
- What blocks/obstacles do I still see that are standing in my way?
- How am I feeling about either of these and do I believe I can still reach the goal at the end of 30 days?
I encourage you to self-evaluate today, make tweaks as necessary, and appreciate the wins you’ve had so far. There’s nothing like the ‘sweet smell of success!’
